I wanted to blog today to let you know that I will be creating a carnival/circus theme in my classroom this year.  This is my first time teaching and my first classroom.  I am really excited to start this process.  I am posting some pictures below of my plans.  When it is complete I will post pictures of my finished product.  I have so many ideas in my head, this is only a few.

Ok, the world of blogging.  I have had a personal blog for awhile, but I am not very good at keeping up with it.  I plan to keep up with my teaching blog.  I want the parents to be able to see the process and success in our classroom.  To start off I am going to share some photos from my student teaching experience and many things I created along the way.  Enjoy! (Mainly kindergarten pictures.  I forgot to take pictures in my 4th grade placement.  I have a few.)

I made this big insect when we were studying different parts of insects.
The students also did their own diagrams.

What do insects have, what can they do, and what they are.......?????

Glyph chart boys were caterpillars and girls were ladybugs.

This was probably one of my favorite units.  Oviparous animals.

Venn Diagram with Ducklings and Chicks.

I made a board with the animal and their egg.  We also did a fun activity where the students got Easter eggs and had to guess what kid of oviparous animal was inside.

Oviparous or Viviparous???

Calendar time.
I made this huge calendar to help them with their personal calendars they filled out every morning.

The back of the calendar.

Another one of my favorite units.....The Solar System!
This is an astronaut I made out of butcher paper.

I had the students make their own star constellations.

Moon project and writing.  My favorite said, "My moon is silent."

Peter Rabbit unit - roots that grow.

Their very own Peter Rabbits.

Weather unit.

Rain drop people.

I made these for my 4th graders.  I miss them!

TCAP trivia game board I made.

My 4th grade cooperating teacher Mrs. Willhite.
